This Monday we decided to get festive and let Calgary band The Jingles tickle your Christmas Spirit. I really love how much fun they have! Really makes it hard to bah humbug.
This Saturday they have a FREE ALL AGES SHOW at The House Coffee Sanctuary in Kensington. They are definitely worth checking out. Maybe you’ll even catch the Christmas bug. For a preview of what to expect check out this video. They also have tons of live video on their YouTube page.
Friends of Foes – great alternative band from Saskatoon. They’re heading into the studio soon to record their first album. We can’t wait to hear it! Follow them on twitter and facebook for show dates and news on the album

Cobra Ramone is full of rock and roll badassery. She proves that girls can rock as hard as boys and look sexy doing it. On stage she is joined by Big Daddy Deachman (drums) and Trevor Snakedust (hammond B3) for dirty guitar driven blues-rock and vocals that any singer would be envious of.
Currently based out of Vancouver, Canada, Cobra is recording new music and touring all over North America. Make sure you go see her and the boys when they visit your city! For updates on shows and other band debauchery follow them on twitter.
Her latest record is a self-titled face-melting 10-track chronicle about the apocalypse, zombies and ‘boys-are-dicks’ type songs that can be previewed and purchased at http://cobraramone.com/
INDIE MUSIC MONDAY – KIERAN STRANGE
If you spend $.99 today it should be on iTunes buying Adamantine Hearts by Kieran Strange . The song is jam packed with catchy lyrics and irresistible melodies. It’s definitely my favorite song by this talented singer-songwriter and I cannot stop singing it in my car. You can also listen to the track on her YouTube channel.
British Pop Rocker Kieran Strange is all about being yourself, being different and being strong. She’s one of those amazing people who can encourage everyone around her to follow their passions while delivering a strong message of individuality. Watching her interact with her fans is inspiring. She loves them dearly and you can see it by how they respond and support her. Get in on the #strangers action and follow her on twitter. This year she’s even up for a Shorty Award, which honours the best in social media.
I’ve been incredibly lucky to tour with Kieran and play a few shows with her. We had the most amazing Canada Music Week sleepover party last March when we split a hotel room. There is nothing like a girl party to really bond with great musicians and good people. Kieran’s stage shows are packed with energy and she seems to really get what her audience wants. She’s undeniably generous and I really expect fantastic things to come from her in the coming years.

This week’s IMM spotlight is Calgary based singer-songwriter Hello Moth.
Armed only with a vintage Casio VL-1 synth and a loop pedal, Hello Moth adds layers and layers of lo-fi texture to create warm, entrancing songs.
Don’t let the VL-1 fool you with it’s small size, and kid’s toy-ish charm. Hello Moth proves it’s not the size of the synth that matters, it’s how you use it.
